I've seen this term thrown around a few times. What is the difference in the methods of hopping, and how does it effect the flavor of beer?
Dry-hopping usually refers to any hop addition after the wort is cooled. Usually post-fermentation. Wet hopping refers to any use of hops that are fresh from the harvest and not dried, like most are. Dry hopping adds mostly fresh hop aroma to the beer. Wet hopping can add bitterness, flavor, or aroma depending on when they are added, like any hop.
