As the weather has turnt up I definitely have more reason to compile a cooler of low abv golf/boat/whatever beers. I definitely gravitate toward hoppier beers but with a mix of hoppy lagers/west coast/NE IPAs and pale ales. Some favorites of mine are Peak Organic’s Fresh Cut and Stone’s Neverending Haze (which sadly doesn’t seem to be produced this year, or at least isn’t available in the New Haven area). Obviously there are the common options likely Founders All Day/Sierra Nevada Pale Ale/Bell’s Light Hearted and some more regional ones like Night Shift Whirlpool or Industrial Arts’ Metric Pilsner, but wanted to see if anyone had recs for some new hoppy crushers that may not be as well known. Bonus points for 12oz cans format. Thanks and cheers to summer 2021

Not really new or under the radar but the latest version of Lawsons super session is pretty tasty. I’ve also been digging the updated Trapps variety pack

that’s good to hear. Saw the 12-pack of Super Session 5 but don’t have a lot of experience with Cashmere hops so wasn’t sure about. Thanks for the recs!

Harpoon Rec League is my go-to summer hoppy crusher. $7 4-packs of tallboys and its a truly delicious beer. The new Sierra Nevada session IPA is in that vein too for sure. If you get it out by you, Common Roots' Citra session is exactly what you're looking for and at a good price point too.

It’s solid for sure. I actually haven’t liked Cashmere in the past but the lots Lawson’s has must be great. Really enjoyed this beer. Has a nice fullnesss to the palate, not thin at all. 80% of the beer I drink is 5% or below and this stood out to me. Great hop aroma/flavor and a fullness to support it so everything stays somewhat in balance.

Unfortunately need to get this at the source, but I really enjoyed Vitamin Sea's Nice and Easy citra IPA during my day drinking sessions this weekend. 4.9% and it finishes cleaner than their bigger IPAs which tend toward a sweeter finish.

Unfortunately I don’t think they make it up to you but if they do...yards philly pale ale 12 pack of cans.

A purchase that regularly is in the fridge at my house. I think it checks all the boxes you are looking for.

Does Grimm make it up there? Today's Special is a solid series of low abv hoppy beers.

Not really but thanks for the rec, always worth stopping by when I’m down in NYC. Looks like Harpoon Reg League and Super Session #5 are the reliable finds for me. Thanks guys!

NEBCOs Elm City Pils is excellent and hits distribution fairly regularly

For me, Rising Tide’s MTPA or Fox Farm’s Little Brook. But truthfully, this beer has earned a permanent spot in my fridge as an any day, any time, no guilt crusher.

Nice, this has been on my list to check out and I'm glad to hear it's great! I think their other ipa is solid.
