Is there any possibily that the other ingredients in a beer would have a noticable impact on absorption of the alcohol? For example, would a beer with higher sugar content, or sulphates/sulphites, or (insert ingredient here) allow the body to absorb more/less of the alcohol than others?

I ask this because it has been proven that certain chemicals improve or inhibit absorption of others, such as the relationship between calcium and vitamin D.

You've been so overtaken by the hype of Heady Topper as #1 on BA and the "end-all-be-all" of beers, that your body produces large amounts of endorphins when you consume a larger quantity of Heady.

I've always gotten a better, hard to explain, buzz off of Westvleteren 12. I only have to drink one. When I used to smoke cigars, a good Cuban cigar had the same effect, very mellow.
