Notch and Silvaticus both make good smoked beers in MA, but yeah, there's a dearth of options.

    Bierstadt was excellent.
Slow Pour Pils was spot on for a Northern German Pils, reminded me of König Pils.

The the Nobel Stuff seasonal beer was much like Augustiner Edelstoff, go figure, with more floor hops.

The Smoke Helles was showing signs of age. Got there too late. Happy to try it.

They are still rocking. I know Jester King is a ways out from NB, but they still have some of their Patterson Porter for sale, noticed it the other day and have requested my daughter or her friend who frequent JK pick me one up. Have fun at Wurstfest

I still haven't been to Notch, I gotta get on that. Silvaticus I've never even heard of but I'll put them on the list to try especially if they have good smoked options

I'd check both of their beer lists before going as I don't think they always have smoked beer on tap. I believe the brewer/owner at Silvaticus brewed a bunch of smoked beers when working in Alaska which is how I was tipped off to them. Notch usually has a smoked beer on these days, but not always.

I know they have a Rauch Starkbier in the pipeline.
