So my wife bought me a freezerless fridge for Christmas. I needed somewhere to put my beer since there was not enough room in our main fridge.

I have more beer than I could drink in say a 3-6 month timespan. I really only drink the good stuff when friends/family are over. So that leaves me w/ many beers that I probably won't get to for a while. I not really looking to cellar per say, but if the beer changes I have no complaints & long as it doesn't get real skunk.

The beers are stored at the "warmest" cold temperature in the fridge. Do I need to worry about this beer going bad? All styles are just stouts/barleywines/old ales. Any IPA's/Hefeweizen I usually drink within a week or 2. Will a digital thermostat make the fridge even warmer? I know non-craft beers that would sit in a fridge for 1+yr get funky. Will this happen to blackout stout/terrapin wnb/expedition/wulver/curmudgeon/founders breakfast/ten fidy?

    Thanks

50* is pretty much what you're looking for.

Just take a few readings occasionally....no need for a thermostat.
