I'll be in Portland area on the 31st. How long does Dinner last at the brewery?

All except for the last sale when one could get it the next day.

@Msudukie - Last release was a fluke. The 4/11 release was a literal crap show [overflowing port-o-john (just 1 for all those people)] with lots and lots of line waiting and it scared lots of people away IMHO. 6/20 was infinitely better, they handled checkouts at an awesome pace and there was zero line by 10:30AM. The word didn't really get out that cases were still available.

The fact that there's so much going on that weekend [Dinner, Swish, Goods from the Woods, Ghoulschip/Haunted House] -- I expect people to come out in droves and hope MBC handles it as well as they did last time. Not likely to last the day.

Any insight into how arriving at ~7am would work for this upcoming release? Hoping to make a trip and get some Dinner/Swish/Goulschip and am planning to leave around 5am to get there ~7

So lame how they all release the same day. I get it from a business sales standpoint. But then there are people who bitch about people getting into line to early and not respecting the brewery blah blah blah. Well how much respect does the brewery have for you the consumer to do a release the day the whole area is releasing stuff. They're picking that date purely to capitalize on consumers and really in no way considering what a shit show it will be. If people are there at 4AM and bitching, moaning, and drinking by opening they have no one to blame but themselves.

In the end I'm not going and it really doesn't affect me at all. But holy hell are nerves gonna get frayed.

7AM should, in theory, be fine. I vaguely remember the December release where people that showed up later than 7:00 were SOL but that was a smaller back IIRC. There was a snow/ice storm too... loads of fun.

    7AM: On-Sale for Dinner
12PM: On-Sale for Swish/Substance [Gonna need to be in line early for this]
    4PM: On-Sale for Ghoulschip [They close @ 6PM for a ticketed event]

Be sure to spend time at Austin Street, Foundation, Oxbow, Novare Res, Bier Cellar, etc. while you "kill time" between releases =)

Was at the first real release in March '14 but haven't had a taste since. It's a gem. My plan is to follow Twitter and if its non-shit-showey after kids' soccer at noontime, I'm gonna make a run for it!

I have no experience with Dinner, but I was under the impression that MBC generally keeps enough kegs of it to make it available for on-site consumption at the brewery for a few weeks after the release.

This beer would sell out in a matter of hours even if they released it Christmas morning but yeah that must be why they're doing it.

Garrison just announced they are "postponing" their can release and pushing it to YOU GUESSED IT...October 24th and releasing a new beer/Party! This is getting to be more and more obvious and silly.

Brewery pro-tip: Make the check-out at these releases as seamless as possible [cash-only/bottle-only lines] so everyone can enjoy the best this area has to offer and isn't standing around in lines for hours on end. I'm looking at you, Tributary! =)

Those pursuits certainly dovetail with beer buying/drinking. Not impressed with any recent purchases from MBC, they are watery.

Tributary is releasing Mott the Lesser on the 24th as well, 12-8. 1500 bottles, limit 2 per and will be on tap.

You stand a chance of getting a bottle if you get through MBC quick and do the same at BB/Foundation/Austin. Or at least a pour from the tap.
