first time at dionysus... the stonefruit funkadelic is straight up awesom

 

Did this membership disappoint, or meet/exceed expectations?

 

Far, far exceeded my expectations.

 

I'd say it met my expectations. I signed up on a whim. It didn't blow my mind but overall the beers were very good to excellent. I live about 90 minutes away from Dionysus. I made two trips out this year. Once in June for the strawberry sour release and once yesterday for the barrel aged stout. Not signing up again next year but if I lived closer or frequented Bakersfield more often I probably would.

 

What did you think of the BA Stout? I had 2 of the variants (coffee and vanilla/coconut). I prefer their sours.

 

I was a member and did not think worth the initial price
This year they raised cost
The beers were ok
No discount in tap room and bottle purchases
No extra benefits
There are much better place to spend my $
Kyle is nice guy
I went taproom two times nothing special
Overall was very disappointed but you can't win them all
I will not be return member again

 

What's negative stuff about Casa Ag? I've enjoyed my 3 visits. I miss something?

 

This is a Dio thread. Not sure what casa Agria has to do with this one. Although I've loved every casa release. They've done amazing stuff

 

I'd say the opposite. Bottles were pretty good. Bottles were already pretty cheap so didn't need a discount. Shipping was super cheap (less than $15 per shipment). Zero bottles were disappointments. Renewed even though the price went up.

Boom or Bust ?

Total bust both the bottles of the coffee/cocoa I had were drain pour. They were so off everyone I shared with could not drink a taster glass.
Did anyone else have this problem. So depressed

I had the bottle of the one with more adjuncts right when I got and it was drinkable, I hope the bottle I sent to my friend was good.

I mentioned to them that the beer was no good and they asked me a few questions and then that was it

I was pretty unhappy with the overall experience of being a member and after this will not be supporting them again in the future, with all other breweries which stand by their product.

 

Not sure where you got the idea that Dionysus doesn't stand by their product....cause that can't be more far from the truth. youre shitting on their reputation when they offered you a new bottle to remedy the situation but you refused because you don't visit Bakersfield often. If something like this depresses you that bad, you should see a therapist!

 

This situation was actually resolved. We are going to replace his bottles with other bottles he and his wife enjoyed! Thanks for the support!

They reached out to me and have made it a great effort to make this right.

I am much appreciative and will support them again in the future.

Not sure how to respond to you as you realize I live 90 miles each way from the brewery. You should need a therapist but you probably can't afford one as you would drive 180 miles to get a free bottle. Last time I was there I gave Kyle a bottle of Jester King and every brewery I go to I give bottles to the workers.
Anybody who knows me can vouch for my generosity.
I do appreciate the offer but am entitled to an opinion.
At this point they have offered to mail it to me and that is more than generous and appreciated

Dropping several beer clubs and thinking of adding the Olympus Barrel Society. Does anyone have any opinions on the quality of the beers typically received and the overall benefit. Currently in Alesmith, Modern Times and Rare Barrel. Wondering how Olympus stacks up to them.
