If you decide to go the Garden State to I87-I287-I684-I84-I90 route (and then hit 495), which I have done the past four years when going up to the Cape and it's been less of a pain traffic wise (and only about 20 minnutes longer). Then DeCicco's in Armonk is an absolute must stop and has an insane amount of beer (they had CL Barrel Select Gold on tap yesterday when I was there, among other things). You'd also be able to stop at Julio's liquors in Westborough, MA which is also solid. In addtion, just a twenty minute or so detour is Armsby Abbey in Worcester which has 6 HF taps on right now I believe. Know this isn't the route you were asking about it, but if you have the option to change it, thought I'd throw it out there  Enjoy your trip!

That might be the way I come home...so that is good to know. We are leaving Boston Saturday night and probably stop someplace halfway to sleep. We are leaving tomorrow morning at 3am to avoid traffic and get a whole day in the Cape.

You'll be driving up route 3 as you come across the bRidge from the cape. Stop in plymouth, see the rock. Get disappointed but then cheer up at the new world tavern in downtown plymouth. Also in plymouth is Mayflower brewing which is not far off the exit from route 44 (exit 7?). Granite liquor s in Weymouth always has some hidden gems. They are about 1.5 miles off of route 18 in Weymouth (exit 16?). Trillium is a must. Then decisions to be made. Deep Ellum? Night shift? Lord hobo? Cambridge brewing? Out to jacks Abby in Framingham? Decisions, decisions.....

I am also driving this way this week. Anybody have any suggestions on where to find Night Shift and Wormtown specifically?

Best source of Night Shift and Especially Wormtown are at the Brewey. Night Shift can be found at a good amount of craft bottle shops in MA with minimal effort. But with Wormtown's recent move to a new location, distribution has been limited to Be Hoppy cans. Hopulence had popped up about a month ago. Then there have been a couple limited stout releases back in Jan or Feb. They just recently got their bottling line up an running. Be Hoppy 6 packs were for sale at taproom. Then not sure if any went out to distro. Also means they should start bottling other styles soon.

I was really only interested in the hoppy stuff anyway. Santilli can be found at a lot of MA bottle shops?

@paddyfrankie - Yankee Spirits in Sturbridge and Julios in Westborough are sort of along that route and carry our beers.

To clarify that is the 84 to Mass Pike to 495 route. If you are planning 95 the whole way to 195 in Providence, you are not close to either of those locations.

Considering there is very little difference in those routes coming from central westchester, I may take this one if I can find a bunch of Santilli. That route puts me relatively close to Treehouse right?

Ya relatively close. Taking backroads to monson from stafford springs, them heading north to the mass pike should add around 30 minutes to your drive. Plus the wait time at treehouse of course.

May be a question for another thread, but what does the wait look like at Treehouse just after 5 on a Friday?

I should have stated that I was only looking for cans.

Really depends what is on, but if its a "regular" week, probably 1-1.5 hours. My favorite time to go is around 6:30-7 on fridays, if nothing huge is on wait times can be as short as 15 minutes. I went a few fridays ago around 7, and went through the growler line twice in 45 minutes.

Edit: if you're only getting cans, about a half hour wait give or take for cans right at open. It still always depends on what is on. If you show up a little later- 5:30/5:45 there may be no line for cans.
