The recipe is hardly similar to Hop Wallop. The only comparison is that DirtWolf is replacing Wallop and going through the same distribution.

DirtWolf is basically the culmination of the Ranch Series.

Definitely buying a case if I can find one in the $40-50 range. I might just head to the brewery. It's only an hour drive, and I haven't been there lately.

Nice. I just bought some beer today, so I probably won't go shopping again until next weekend. I'll have to stop there.

Just drank a 4 pack with my fiance with dinner and we both agreed that this is fantastic.

Made it's debut in Lancaster County Monday of this week. I picked up a bottle at Hunger-N-Thirst today (last bottle they had. Andrew said it really flew out the door this week!). A great double IPA. How can you go wrong with Citra, Chinook, Mosaic, and Simcoe!

    Shouldn't be an issue...it's selling for $8 a 4 pack here, I believe it's $44 a case or so.

Sounds like Victory has a real winner on their hands. Only one review thus far is unfavorable but he mentioned cat piss a few times so I think he's probably be sniffing too many litter boxes to really appreciate beer at this point.

Had my 1st one tonight and loved it. Fresh, great floral nose and taste and priced right. Head and shoulders better than Hop Wallop IMO. There is no reason to hunt down hard to find DIPA''s if this is readily available. Just not sure how such a carefully crafted beer can have such a stupid name. The key will be being able to find it fresh as I know Victory gives their beers a long shelf life.

Victory shortened the best buy for DirtWolf down to 5 months. I think this one is going to sell well enough that we shouldn't be too worried about it sitting around too long.

so I've read on here. I was just saying what the guy at the store told me. I don't know who he was. He sounded like Matt so i was guessing he was his son. But the guy that dropped it off told him this and he may have been wrong. And while i am not a brewer, i do feel like i have a fairly discerning palleate (sp) and i feel like they taste pretty similar with subtle differences. I've done a few side by sides. ABcramer on here says the hops in Dwolf are Citra, Chinook, Mosaic, and Simcoe. What was wallop? And is it hop types or additions or the malt that are different or what? I'd be curious to know. thanks for clarifying...

Not sure of the exact differences, but DirtWolf is brewed with 4 hop varieties and 3 of them didn't even exist when Wallop started and Wallop's recipe hasn't changed.

Nothing new to say, just one more guys professing that it's really, really nice. One more fantastic IPA to add to my list of go-to brews.
