    Got a 4-pack at Mechanicsburg Wegman's. I agree that it's really good!

I had it at Blind Tiger as well. Very solid beer, but it didn't blow me away.

I had Peekskill Higher Standard over the weekend. Really enjoyed that.

Good to see some well-regarded DIPAs appearing in the NE that don't rely on VT as the source

I assumed Victory did a 5 month bottling date on this. Thanks for the carification. I just don't get how I picked up a case in Philly on 10/5 that was bottled on 9/5 (Best by date of 2/5/14) did victory really sit on this beer for over a month before hitting distro channels? Feel like that is a fairly long time, when I can pick up week old sculpin, flower power, etc. regularly in Philly.

I've noticed this happening on initial releases before. Not exactly sure on the logistics on why it happens, but I've seen it happen before. My guess is that as this beer gets rolling you'll see cases with shorter bottling dates. It's also entirely possible that the beer needed a couple weeks in the bottle before it was ready. I've had many an IPA that were too green from being so fresh and actually got more flavorful and the hops got more intense after a couple weeks in the bottle. So there's that.

Grasping at straws, I have no idea why it took so long to ship once it was packaged.

Is there some story behind the name "Dirt Wolf"? I'm sure the beer is good, but name is kind of gross. Maybe I'm just missing something though...

Darkly heroic, Humulus Lupulus (hops) have empowered brews with bite and character since the 11th century.DirtWolf is a tribute to these untamed vines which rise from the earth with the voracity of a ‘wolf among sheep.’ Hops have made an assertive comeback in American craft brewing. Revel in the best US varieties of hops, in their natural, whole flower form, as they bring a vital, pungent reality to the soul of a wild element in our I dangerously satisfying DirtWolf.

So essentially it's a play on the similarity of the scientific name for the hops to the scientific name for the wolf (Canis lupus), and the attributes the hops have for growing "voraciously".

Picked up a case at Beer Etc. Hatfield for $44 tax incl. This may be the best DIPA available in PA south of $50 a case. I'm liking this better than any hoppy Victory offering, second maybe only to their Liberty Bell Ringer, which we won't see again until PBW and then in limited supply.

As it should be. Already heard of places charging $12/4 pack... this was my fear--going from a 6 pack to a 4 pack with no price decrease (same with Storm King).

Still looking forward to it, hopefully will be picking up a case this week.

You are in luck, my friend. Liberty Bell Ringer has been renamed "Hop Ranch" and will be a yearly seasonal due out in January!

I believe, but I'm not positive on this, that it will be replacing Yakima Glory. Don't quote me on that.

Picked up two 4-packs for $9 apiece today in Maryland. Very solid beer, especially at that price point. Not in the "top tier" of DIPAs, but still very solid. I will be buying a lot of this!

Saw it for $47 in Lancaster County. Paid $3 for a single 12 oz. bottle at a local bottle shop.

Picked up a 02/11/2014 case yesterday at Brewers Outlet in Lancaster for $44 plus tax. No where to be found in Berks County which is absurd.

Not in love with it. Had one last night and drinking one now. Not much in the smell area and it really does not blow me away taste wise. Has a dry stale bitterness to it and not much else. Maybe its just me. I really like IPA but this one is odd to me. Might try it once more but wont be looking for it anymore. Not sure whats up with this beer

I hear one of my favorite Victory beers will no longer be made , RIP Yakima Glory

    Enjoy
