For Victory distribution, Ocean County is Ritchie & Page (AB house that also covers Monmouth, Mercer and Burlington counties) territory. The store I asked said "next week" when they looked it up in their computer, although it's listed as on tap at the growler station in Joe Canal's in Lawrenceville, so the kegs seem to have made it out to some retailers.
Konrad is already out of it as of this past week. I only got 25% of the cases I reordered of it this past week. I'm out of it at my store. I think this will be the case for the first few months, it will be in and out of stock as Victory tries to keep up with demand. It's a new beer with a good amount of hype behind it and excellent reviews thus far, so every craft lover wants to get their mitts on it and try it and a good amount of those who have want more of it. So it's going to be a bumpy road until things slowly mellow and sort themselves out.
Forget about whether it's in their stores or not. What kind of "beer guys" are these that they never heard of it? If they are that clueless, chances are they won't even realize they have it even after it's delivered.
