It's currently 4pm on Thursday and they still have serval disasterous molasses

 

They had a Bourbon Old Ale on tap today. I asked the bartender and she claims it's the same beer as Disastrous Molasses.
I thought it was alright, really nothing special. The base beer was pretty solid, but the barrel presence was sparse I thought. After drinking 2014 Backwoods Bastard, I just didn't think Molasses was worth it. Now if I hadn't of got my hands on BWB, then I suppose Disastrous Molasses could be considered a fair alternative. They had 2 cans in the fridge that I had originally grabbed. After I found out it was the same beer on tap, I put them back. I didn't think it was worth Crowlering, nevermind $15/pint can.

Death By Coconut looked to be in good supply. No BA FIDY.

 

i had a bourbon strong ale when disastrous came out at the weasel and it was much lighter -- sounds like the above description. it definitely wasn't the same as disastrous, which has a ton of barrel character -- very boozy.

 

Could be the server didn't know but didn't want to say she didn't know. Your boozy description of DM does make it sound like something I'd want to try. And I would have bought at least one if the bartender had stated it was different. Oh well, maybe next time.

as of today Monday the 5th At 3:15, Tasty weasel had 12 disastrous molasses cans and 6 4packs of death by coconut

 

Bet they had more than that. Seemed like they had at least that many 4packs and a full row of DM when I stopped in yesterday. I'd imagine most of it is in back and they just refill the fridge when need be.
