Dissident availability?

East Bay only got twenty cases. waiting for it to be released

 

Just hit STL. Should I check it out if I get the chance? Worth it? Pretty well reviewed.

 

Picked up 2 at Bevmo Mira Loma, they still have a few left.

 

It lasted all of about 2 hours when the proprietor of an unnamed San Diego beer and wine store Facebooked that he had a case. As far as I know, no other San Diego place had it.

 

Was just asking about this elsewhere. I have a friend in Oregon, might need to see if I can get her to ship me some...

 

I heard that some places in the East and South Bay have it, but aren't allowed to sell or release it yet for some reason. Anyone else hear this?

 

Picked up a few from my guy at the Pleasanton BevMo.

I believe they sold out.

 

Yes, Dee at Bobby's Liquors in Santa Clara has some, but the distributor told him not to sell it yet. He does not know why.

 

Have my girl in Oregon looking for it. She's about 150 miles from Bend, but is optimistic she'll find some.

Two bottles + shipping = about $60. Never tried Dissident before. Worth it? I know it depends on your taste, just curious of opinions on the price and value.

 

Definitely not worth it. You can trade for it much cheaper, it's only $15/bottle in most places.

 

I don't really have much of anything to trade, unfortunately. Pretty new to this.

Just going to throw it out there I work at the Whole Foods in Noe Valley and we have 3 bottles left. They may be gone as of today, but it's worth a shot.

 

Start small and work your way up to it. This year's Dissident seems to be pretty scarce, but I don't think it's worth paying double the price for bottles. There are other great sours out there that you can get started with and order online and have shipped to your door like Cascade (currently Apricot, Kriek, and The Vine, soon to be Noyaux next week too).

 

Appreciate the advice. I have a friend in Oregon, I may see if she can snag me a bottle and send it as she can do so for much cheaper than any website can/will.

There are still some available (or there were as of last night) at the Total Wine down the road from me here in AZ, so if anyone can't get some I might be able to help you out. I bought another one last night. Originally I drank one and saved one, but it was good so I wanted to drink another. According to their website they still have some. Its 11.99 here.
