I thought the same thing about the Oud Floris
I haven't exactly been looking out for La Folie so not sure where it might be exactly. Perhaps Supermarket Liquors or 287 Discount Liquors as both those places seem to have a healthy stock of Lips of Faith offering. Honestly, I seem to always see it at Wilburs too but cant be exact on when exactly I last noticed it there.
I haven't been able to find any Dissident, so I picked up a bottle of Meddler tonite for the eff of it. Damn, that shit is good! I just wish it were a couple bucks less per bottle. How much is Dissident, and is it really that great? It's not like there aren't a ton of similar styled beers out there.
Dissident smashes Meddler. Meddler is good....but Dissident is better IMO.
Dissident was $15 here. Wasn't Meddler about the same? Dissident is a smaller bottle, but also a better beer. For me, Meddler is a "try once" beer, and Dissident is a "try as often as I can" beer.
I just picked up 3 bottles here in Casper. $13.45 a bottle.
Early morning beer run.....I like it!
Yeah, I was checking out the Deschutes website-Find our beers-and saw a store here had it in stock. I got dressed, no shower, and zipped on down there.
And liquor stores are open that early? Wowza!
Well, WY is the wild wild west.
Out of curiosity, I checked an online beer store located in OR and they're selling it for $18.50. Not much of a markup??
There's quite a few liquor stores in Wyoming that open at 6:00 AM for people that work night shifts on the rigs or nights out at the mines, or for the drunks . Comes in real handy when you want to go grab a pint of whiskey for ice fishing.
Dissident just went on the shelves yesterday at Argonaut around noon. Picked one up on my way out of Downtown to the airport. I bought the first bottle. Was in the back by the shelf where they keep the limited's and saw two cases. One bottle limit, $14.49
They also put out a bunch of four packs of Upslope Pumpkin if anyone wants one last fix. I really enjoyed that brew.
Oh nice, then there is a good chance it will show up here this week.
I have my fingers crossed for you.
Found another today in Longmont, got the last one at LiquorLand. We stopped into PJ's, and the staff said they'd already received a lot of questions about it, but didn't think they'd get it in until Thursday. I'm going to bow out of this race now that I've got a couple. Gentlemen, Godspeed.
LiquorLand still had a grip of Odio and Oud Floris, some FW XV, a Twisted Pine Surreal Stout that was marked down, and some other stuff. Looking back into the cooler, someone who got permission to go back there might have quite a field day.
Just got back from a week-long vacation to Mexico.
Any Dissident around in Denver-only? Feel free to BM me. Thanks.
I picked up 2 more bottles...I'm assuming they are the last in town.
We got two cases.
One went in the cellar, and one was available for one bottle a person.
I think the available case lasted 2 and a half days.
I was surprised it lasted that long.
loving this beer. doubt i'll have any bottles left by the 'best by' date. wish i had the willpower, but i don't. the only beers i've cellared i've kept far, far away from my reach.
where is 'we'?
Looking forward to trying this and I have no intention (or, like you, the willpower) of cellaring it either. .
me and another BA split close to a case, and i really doubt i'll have any left by the end of the year
I got busted for mentioning where I work... I guess they thought I was trolling and advertising... so inbox me and I'll tell you.
bm sent ;-)
In my limited experience with the new "best after" dates from last year's BB XXIII, having it immediately was still great, but hot, having it after the bottle date was incredible. I'm now waiting on mine.
Pretty sure most people had the same opinion about Collage that while it was good, it was slightly hot and could benefit from age.... then the conversation goes, why release it when it's not ready, lol.
I don't know...maybe Deschutes likes to use our cellars instead of theirs to store 'em.
Joy Wine & Spirits got a case in today.
So naturally, I saw the case at Joy when it came in, figured I could wait until the next day to grab one (dumb idea #1), and told a regular trading partner I could get one for him (dumb idea #2). Next day, of course it's sold out. Has anyone seen any in the Denver area in the last day or so? I am out of both dissident and dumb ideas.
That sucks. I don't think it lasted into a 2nd day anywhere. Glad I grabbed some.
I got the last one...oops
I decided to stop by on my way to work yesterday, just for the hell of it, figuring they were long. Got there at about 1:30 to find one bottle left. I have a funny feeling it was the last bottle in the state
Don't worry...the beer was horrible and over priced.
Some of you guys are so impatient
Just throw it in the back of your fridge and forget about it for a year... and buy some other beers to keep your mind off of it.
