Did you ever locate any, @Chelsea1905 ? If not, Enoteca is advertising they have some, which you can purchase on line for $17.99 per bottle (unless you are in their beer club thingie, then it's a buck cheaper).
@woemad @PacNWDad Thanks guys, found some at Huckleberry's. Only $14.99 a bottle. Much better, even with discount, than Enoteca. Sincerely
@whiskey is Spokane's man in Cali. Met the man once at Pints - the only time I've been there at a time when they were actually open!
Wow, nearly $40 for an Abyss with a little dust on it? Is it gold dust? Don't get me wrong, I like Abyss, but these days I'm fine for a glass or two of it when it comes out (I'm also still sitting on a few older bottles, so I suppose it's easy for me to be blase about it).
You know, I'm in a craft beer mecca, and I still haven't found a place as laid back and cool as Pints! I was just throwing a number out there. But I know they have some "Captains list" that doubles the price of a beer after a year and so on. I remember a six pack of 2012 Bigfoot jumping to $20 in January of 2013! Even though it was still in grocery stores for $10. They had a good selection for the area and their prices were decent, but they put a CRAZY value on their "aged" beers. It turned me off to them.
That's why I generally only go there for things I can't get anywhere else, the prices are always highest in the area for anything anybody else has. Granted, anything that has been sitting for any length of time is probably a safer bet there than a place like J.B's, the shelf turd capitol of the inland NW. BTW, have you made it back for a visit since you left? Breweries just keep flying open around here. I visited Black Label last week in the Saranac Commons, and they were quite promising, and there's now a brewery in freaking Cheney (there'll probably be lots of college kids wandering in while high wanting to try a tasters flight of malt liquor). Oh, and to reinforce the Enoteca prices point AND the original point of this thread, Dissident is still availlable at Huckleberry's for the $14.99 price, if anyone is still seeking it.
I haven't been back. We're gonna make a weekend trip sometime soon, I'm just slammed at work right now. I've heard it's getting crazy, with growler guys showing up too. Lots of good stuff. Also, sounds like Spokane is getting walez now with the Cinnamon b-bomb and KDS and stuff. Also heard things like Tweak and Uncle Jacobs are making it there.... But I had Mocha Wednesday on tap yesterday and Alpine Nelson a couple days before so I feel like I'm still getting spoiled.
