Figures... I've read his blog before which I found enjoyable and visually appealing. So he may be new here or just have a new screen name but he's not new to beer.

Yes back to the beer... It's going crazy fast everywhere. Houston sadly missed out but... there was a time when Austin thought DFW was the only market getting it.

Alright, so back to business now? That was throughly entertaining, however.

Anyone know if E1G is out? I didn't get a chance to get over there today after I had a 14-hour day and literally had to be at work 3 times due to meetings and working overnight (ugh, dying).

SLW&S said that he spoke to the distro and he knew for certain that he would be getting this next week (possibly sooner) as well as Spec's Brodie. 1 case each.

 

When I got to E1G at 1:30 the case was half-gone. One of the guys there did say that Specs was getting 4 cases total, but he didn't know the distribution amongst stores. I called Specs Brodie and the person I spoke didn't know what to expect and was genuinely surprised when I mentioned it was in town. Hats off to E1G, whatever they pulled off was pretty dang impressive.

 

Jesus Christ, this thread got pathetic. A guy expresses an opinion around here and everyone jumps up his ass. Since when did BA become so delicate that it can't suffer differing opinions?

And while his way of saying it might not have been as delicate as some people seem to like, he's right - while BA has a role, its not the best way to get information about releases. Facebook, Twitter, and personal relationships with store employees and brewers trump it EVERY time. Most people post on BA about releases AFTER they already bought their bottles anyway.

BA is a good place to talk about beer, but people need to lighten up and be able to hear other opinions and take a little criticism.

Rant ended. Back to beer. I won't be getting this one, since I'm basically out of town for 2 weeks, so enjoy it! But hopefully I'll be picking up some good stuff in D.C./VA to offset the loss.
