Lol just saw a guy sprint to the front door of specs only to realize it didn't open until 10. Then sadly walk away... Really hoping that was a BA'er and they fess up...

 

While it's good, it's definitely not better than Rochefort. Or Westy. Or St. Bernardus.

It's definitely on par with the better North American Quads and BSDAs.

 

damn missed out on the 3 cases of 12, got a bomber of 13 and stocked up on more Temptress and that delicious Widmer Raspberry Stout!

 

Found some DR13 at a Cheveron at West Road and Telge Road in NW Houston. Huge selection and a lot of gems! Got some funky jewbelation and a bottle of black crack as well as some DR13. Also had luchador en fuego

 

Did you happen to see any Thrash Metal while you were there?

 

No Thrash there but I saw some at the specs at barker cypress and 529 a couple weeks ago.

 

Sorry if it's been said already, but HEB on 620 in Round Rock had a few sixers. Just picked one up for $14.99 about an hour ago.

 

I went by there yesterday. No more Thrash Metal. I did see a few four-packs of Southern Star Walloon and Pro-Am.

Frankly, I think Unibroue and Ommegang do the Belgian styles significantly better than every other NA brewer I've tried (read: actually available in TX). I don't think DR13 is anywhere near a Rochefort or St Bernardus, let alone Westy. If this wasn't a limited release, and I hadn't see all those earlier references to Rochefort/St Bernardus, I probably would not have bothered trying it.

 

I wish people would stop trying to compare this with Rochefort, St Bernardus, or Westy. It is a damn good beer on its own. If people don't want it for whatever reason, then don't buy any.

 

In case you're STILL looking for this, or wanting some more, my HEB (1431 and Parmer) still seems to be holding strong at about 7 6-packs remaining.

 

Any of this still hanging around the Las Colinas/Irving/Airport area? I'm willing to travel farther for a sixer if I need to, as I really like this beer.

 

Found a lone bottle of DR13 lying around at a certain place in town. The gentleman also advised me he had a 6 pk left. I will not disclose the location to anyone for any reason. Also I present, bootleg OG Black Metal ala no labels...Looks pretty sketchy.

 

I think I know the place. Starts with a D and ends with a Q?

 

So I trade you DR13 for WBADPP and then the same day I find WBADPP and the next you find DR13... Weird but awesome!

 

Yeah I actually have a hookup for more DR13. I just wanted to get 2 bombers. I have enough 12ozers to satiate me once I do this other trade for a 6er.

 

Sorry to bring the thread back to the top but this is very, very good. I'm pretty blown away by this.

 

Man I wish I was in Nola. Avenue pub just tweeted that are doing a divine reserve vertical of 4,5,9,10, and 13...
