Vertical Epic was all different styles, yet they still called it a vertical. Just some food for thought.

 

I've always called the DRs a Horizontal. :shrugs:

 

I took 2 through 11 to a tasting, and I called it a vertical tasting, so now what?

About the time DR3 came out I sold my Forester to a gentleman that volunteered at Saint Arnold. Part of the sales price was a bottle of DR1 he had stashed away. It sat for 6 years in my beer fridge.

I was sad when it went away, but as luck would have it, I now have another one in the fridge waiting. I will do a 1-13 (hopefully soon). I sadly only have 1 each of the older vintages (pre 7).

 

This information won't help anyone here but I felt the need to post it anyways. I was spending some time in Southern Louisiana for work, and stopped by Stein's Market in New Orleans. They have 2+ cases of DR13 in their beer room, I already have enough so I didn't buy any. The catch, I was wearing a Houston Texans shirt and he said he doesn't like to sell them to anyone from Texas. He said he may let them have one bottle but that would be it. I did however pick up some Hitachino Nest, Jolly Pumpkin, and Stillwater Artisianal.

My buddy is suppose to be graduating this semester, so I'm hoping we get crack these open. I've never had 1236or7. Though, if we wait long enough dr14 may be out, and can add that to the mix

I got started hardcore on Craft Beer with DR12 so I've only had 12 and 13 as well as Pumpkinators '11 & '12 and Endeavour (if those count)

I have 2 4s, 8 12s (& 2 bombers), and I have 2 13's - One of each on 1-3 and 5-11

 

No problemo bud. Glad to hear you got one. Its my favorite divine in the series(that ive been able to have, since ive only been here 4 years now) Although i did love 10 as well.

 

I saw a single bomber of it at Market Street in Allen just now - $8.99

I was planning on giving a couple to a friend who missed out, but that would've knocked down my already short supply. Now that makes it a lot easier.

 

As some of you may already know, I'm down here in Galveston. Just had a HORRIBLE meal at the Gumbo Bar. Here's the funny thing though about Gumbo Bar.

The Bad: They only sell singles
