First DLD, extremely exciting after trying for 3 years. A friend myself will be driving up that morning for Session B. How much money do you fine BA folks usually bring to spend? And obviously what do you spend it on?

    Thanks,

    Adam

    Bring all of it.

Amazing beers on tap, DL bottles, DL variants (maybe), money for food, a little extra for emergency (cab, hotel, some crazy person selling their DL for $2, etc)...

You'll need a few hundred probably.

Last year, bottles were $15 limit 4 so that's $60 base. There will likely be special bottles via golden ticket scratch off raffle (e.g., barrel aged DL) at ~ $30-$50, guest and house beer drafts are $5 so if you want 4 or so that's $20... and of course the merch and cases of their regular goodies. I'd say min $150, if you don't win any special bottles save it or more for guest drafts!

I spent about $150 last DLD, but I went over $250 at the XV party.

Bring double what you think you need, unless you can't afford to spend it. ATMs can run out cash...

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know the odds for the scratchoffs?

What are the odds of catching a cab post DLD?

I'm looking to bring ~$240 but I've included gas money in that

$60 for bottles (assuming the limit is 4 this year)
$50 for a Variant (assuming I get lucky)
$50 for gas (assuming I still drive a gas guzzling SUV)
$40 for pours/food (assuming I still like beer and need food to live)
$40 for a case of ZD (assuming they realize that it's their best year round beer and have enough for everyone)

    Cheers!

Depends on if you are going with a group or alone. I say this because last year at XV my friends and my girlfriend all only bought 1-2 bottles of their allotment each, and they didn't want the variants either. I ended up having to go to an ATM and withdrawing the max of $500 for the day on top of the $150 I brought. It was a good day, I just dont like to think about how much it cost.

@Dontcount: That's exactly the attitude you have to have. It's like a vacation. Just bring a fist full of money, and make sure it's enough to make it rain. You can't really be worried about it, cause it IS GOING TO BE expensive. There's no way around it. Just make sure you have at the minimum $100. At least, then you can get transport, 4 DLs, and a plate of food. But i'd factor more like @pschul4...

Last year the the Specialties were $50, so they will probably have $60 bottles this year! ha

Don't they run out of cash every year? I would not rely on them.

I think I brought about $300 last year. Besides the beer and food, there's also glasses, shirts, cool artwork, bail, and beer. Figure out what you think you'll need, and bring twice that much.

I'm hoping to be ok with around $200. I love 40 minutes from 3 Floyds so I can buy the regular stuff almost anytime I want.

Don't count on the ATM's on premise as previously mentioned. $400-$500, that's what I'll have on hand...

I have never had an issue with them running out of money, but I have always purchased all my beer immediately and I've never been too far back in the line. However, with even just 3 people in front of you, their 24k modem ATM will take you 30 minutes to get through.
