DLD was hands down the best beer event I've ever been to. By far. I would love to make it an annual trip for me. BA DL '09 was the best thing I've ever tasted!
Also, I should probably bring some sunblock next time.

Sucks to see others were underwhelmed by Barrel Aged Moloko as well, was hoping it was just me from tasting soo many amazing beers, now I wish I hadn't spent $10 on that. Best beer of the day for me was Hunahpu in the guest tap tent, PHENOMENAL! Kind of wish I hadn't had it though because now I want more, can't stop thinking about it.

Overall an amazing day, made it from open to close without dying so I consider that a success, can't wait for next year. Everybody I met from here was really nice and thanks to all of you for the trades and pours. Municipal Waste and High On Fire kicked ass, Municipal Waste mosh pit was a lot of fun, although I spilled half of my beer I was drinking at the time while in it(luckily it was just a can of Cigar City Jai Alai).

Didn't win on the scratch off and didn't even think to check out the Intelligentsia area so missed out on the mini snifter, maybe next year.

The last 2 years I jumped right in at the end. Last year that was about 7, and the line was 5 min. This year I got in line at about 9 and waited 30 min.

First Dark Lord Day for myself and my buddy from college. I was blown away all day. The beers were great, but the people were even better. Parked at Centennial, loaded up the backpack, and then just two buildings from the entrance a great crew stopped us asking to trade but instead we shared beers for a few hours. All great people with great stories sharing some Heady, Pliny, Dark Lord, and that Rumpkin was so excellent. I think I may have to get in the trade market for that. Thanks so much for sharing it. Then we got into the fest and I picked up my Bourbon Barrel Wee Mac from a generous Boilermaker who picked it up for me in Indy. The guest taps were just too good to be true. I don't have the ammo to go whale trading, so I was blown away. Fresh Jai Alai on draft is nothing like what I tasted from a can. The Pappy Van Muckle and BA Moloko were incredible beers in my eyes. We found a little extra room at a table, and thanks to the folks who shared beers with us mainly for my Ream's beef jerky and beef sticks. The guy who came back to the table and cracked his BA Vanilla Bourbon DL is the hero of the day. So generous to give me a pour for some Kern Just Outstanding and Gandhi Bot. Met a fellow BA for a mini hop trade and shared some beers and jerky. Thanks Andy for the Lawson's Toast pour as well. Fistcal Cliff was excellent on draft, the Dark Lord draft was great, and then the only downfall was the wait for Group E. Well and the epic sunburn that requires aloe about every 2 hours since Saturday. Cheers to all, and hopefully I'll see a few of you at Beer Under Glass in a few weeks.

I thought BA Hell's Black was disappointing compared to regular Hell's Black from last year. The Coffee flavor faded and made it a less interesting brew IMO.

    DLD 2013 Regrets

Not jumping on Hill Farmstead drafts when I had the chance
Not going back to the Dark Lord draft line to try to score more BA Variants (I did get the 09 BA)
Not bothering to check the guest taps again after about 3 pm
Ticking a bunch of stuff, but being palate wrecked so I didn't really appreciate it. Black Note I'm looking at you.
Skipping out on the mini-snifter now that I see what I could sell it for...
Waiting in the Group E line from around 6pm until 9pm, missing all bands/drafts during that point when I could have just jumped in line at 9 pm and got in and out.
Missing all of the bands b/c I was too busy drinking or waiting in line.

My only regret was having a cup full everytime I was offered up beer.. I pretty much drank my own beer because I always had beer in my cup

Good times, got scorched by the orb of fire in the sky. Enjoyed being able to walk around with plenty of room. The one downside for me that was mentioned earlier was the B to C line. Being one of the first 10 or so in the C line right behind B sucked to see about 100 people go in ahead when many of us had been waiting for awhile was a bit of a boner. Great to have shared some beers with you guys in all of the lines I waited in...much better than waiting in line for a roller coaster...or a new drivers license. Did I mention that orb of fire in the sky...
