    Just like last year, you take your music today ticket, get in line for Dark Lord, and it will be exchanged for a Golden Ticket. Your Golden Ticket has a scratch off portion. If you are fortunate enough to be winner, you will have the opportunity to purchase a version of Barrel Aged Dark Lord in a screen printed, hand numbered, wax dipped bottle. This year’s bottles are Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Lord, Vanilla Bean Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Lord, Cognac Barrel Aged Dark Lord, and Cognac Barrel Aged Dark Lord de Muerte. $50/bottle. One per person.

    I'm curious if this year's bourbon is PVW again, or the same as the draft version (Woodford Reserve recently, but other barrels in the past)?

    I was surprised by this as well. Perhaps it wasn't ready - it's only been ~5 months since the Anniversary Party.

    i would be bummed to win a scratch off and have to choose baller stout....over priced @$30...no way i'd pay $50

    Does this mean Vanilla won't be on draft? Not sure if any BA dark lords that were bottled last year were on draft during DLD...

    Last year it said that they aged DL in Heaven Hill barrels for one year for "Oak Aged Dark Lord".

    You are indeed correct - that sound have read "Heaven Hill recently, but Woodford Reserve in the past." Had a brain cramp - remembered there have been different barrels but got the order jumbled and couldn't remember the different types.

    Last year, the bottles themselves only said "Bourbon Barrel Aged", but they announced ahead of time that the barrels were PVW. Not sure what to make of it.

    For those of you asking, the Bourbon barrel aged DL this year is a blend of different barrels. The Muerte is made with Ancho and Guajillo chilies.​
