BA Klaus is good, not great. Surprised they didn't do this years BA Behemoth, which IMO is great, not good. All 3 were sold at the ticketing events, with the red wax.

Having had Klaus Plum and Klaus Cherry, I passed on those and bought a case of Rich Life, which (on tap) is one of my favorite beers right now.

I don't agree with what the guy is doing. However, Beeradvocate should not be the judge, and jury here... You don't go posting this guys pic on the forum without his consent. That's just a cold gesture coming from an otherwise a warm, welcoming community.

Those scratch offs were a joke of a shuffle by the time it came to group c. 3 out of 4 people in my group won. I had to hit up an ATM to buy it because I had to buy it right? It sucked the choices were only BA and muerto by then but it will make a nice beer to crack on a special day.

Honestly, we shared someone's Conquistador De Muerto (their Milk Stout aged with peppers) and I've had Ronaldo (their Milk Stout aged in port barrels on peppers and sweet and tart cherries) and both were, IMO, show-stopper good. There's every likelihood that any one of the variants could be "the best." The vanilla went the fastest (as they obviously predicted it would) because past Vanilla/Bourbon variants have been the most sought after shy of maybe PVW. But that part is clearly hype. I was shaky on the idea of opting for the straight cognac variant, because I've not opened a cognac aged beer yet, but I'd have been just as happy to risk buying any of the other 3 variants as the vanilla I got (well, my wife, but at least I'll get a pour! She has the luck... she got Vanilla Brandy last year, too.)

Think you have Ronaldo mixed up (or you combined 2 different beers).. peppers = Conquistador de Muerte Porto.. Ronaldo is the sweet and tart cherry variant (In Port Barrels as well).

But yeah, regular Conquistador De Muerte (Bourbon one, not Porto) is one of my favorite beers that FFF makes.

You know what, I think I might be mixing up 3 beers. :stuck_out_tongue: We had 3 aged milk stout variants at various pub visits this past year. 2 of them had peppers, one was in port with I believe peppers and cherries. Or maybe I was overserved? All 3 were epic. I know we missed the first batch of Ronaldo this year.

In any event, yeah, Conquistador De Muerte alone is specifically a reason for our group to make pub visits. That and HBI are perhaps my favorite additive beers that they do. I would not be disappointed to have ended up with a Muerte.

I'm looking forward to some reviews of the cognac beers!
