DLD Guest Taps Announced

I heard Three Floyds burned down.

If FFF burned down, I still still show up and drink in remembrance of my favorite brewery.

 

Will there be a specific tap list today (what beer each brewery is bringing) or are we just to wait in anticipation?

 

The tap list isn't that big of a deal. The odds of you getting anything specific and rare is slim to remote. The tap list is gonna be what ever is on when you get to the front of the line

I'd say that the odds of you getting to the front of the line and having the option to buy a beer that you can't normally get in your area are better than a coin flip. The odds of you getting there just as they start pouring Barrel Aged Unobtainable Best Ever are very slim. But it's not like it was bleak last year. And at XV it was even easier, as there were more pouring stations.

 

Right, but you can't plan on what you want to drink during the day, or wait for a specific beer to be tapped. You get your choice of whats pouring at the time. Even if they list all the beer that will tapped during the day, the odds of getting any specific one is remote.

Its going to be more like XV with the large circus tent set up. That means multiple guest tap tables, not one huge line. I hope.

 

Right Dan, but for a lot of us... honestly... there is zero chance that anything we get from the guest taps is going to compare to the insanity we have for free in the line. It's bonus time. Even if they had Rare and Sodom etc, in the line... the universe is going to be available. You're right, if you're looking at the guest taps as "I am specifically targeting X" then you might be set up for disappointment. But if you are in the line for a couple of hours, you should be able to soften that blow.

 

So you're saying my previous position of "I'm getting a glass of BA Hunahpu, but I'm bringing a cyanide pill just in case I don't" should be reconsidered?

 

Looks like multiple guest tap tables. I was just there picking up some ZD because I fear it will sell out tomorrow.

 

So what's the deal, are there separate lines for the pub and for DL, or do I have to stash my DL in a backpack and order something from the bar at the same time?
