DMV Rumpkin Watch Thread

    So, this is starting to become an annual occurrence, but once again I am on the search for the elusive Rumpkin within the confines of our delightful beltway. After much pain and searching last year I managed to procure a single bottle of the glorious substance, and hope to do so again. Rumpkin was released at the brewery last Sunday, so now my eyes are out for its arrival here.

    So without further ado, anyone get any word yet?

    Rustico Ballston seems to get a bunch of the rarer Avery's, might be worth checking out. Some of their bottles you can buy for retail as well.

    I just picked up a Rumpkin and a Velvet Merkin at the Total Wine in Chantilly. Its behind the counter, $13.99 each.

    As of 10AM this morning, Rodman's still had about 8 or so of both Rumpkin and Pump[KY]n. Both I think were $15.99 per bottle.

    Whole Foods Fair Lakes has both Rumpkin and Pump[ky]n, $15 each. You may have to ask for them, they had just come in today and were not out on the shelf yet.

    Whole Food Alexandria has some in the back at $14.99 each. She said she hasn't put them out yet so not sure if that means she will or not...

    I've never even had this, and I'm wary about such a high abv beer. I probably would not have bought it if you hadn't referred to it as a "glorious subsance".

    Total Wine Mclean had Rumpkin out on the floor, and PumpKYn behind the counter yesterday! Probably still some there.
