I don’t seek out GABF medal winners, but it I see that it earned one, I’ll give it a try.

I hunted down Hop Drop n Roll after it won gold a few years back. The medal made me aware of the beer and I'm glad I got to try it. Delicious beer

If I'm looking at a beer close enough to notice that it has won an award I've probably already decided that I want to buy it anyway. The only time it's likely to make an impact on whether or not I buy the beer, is if it's one of those breweries that still doesn't put a bottle date on the label, and the beer was awarded this year. At least then I know it's not over a year old.

Put me in the camp that won’t seek out medal-awarding winning brews, but if I see one on my shelves that’s won an award from a major competition it might influence me to try it.

Not at all. My palate is always going to be different from those that rated and gave the award.
