I would love to do a blind tasting with modern IPAs. I did one years ago when none of the sought after IPAs even existed. That said, when all was said and done, the two highest rated IPAs (per BA) made it to the finals. It was completely blind, and I had no idea what I was drinking. The result: Two Hearted edged Alesmith by a score of 3-2.

I'm not sure how anyone else does their blind tastings, or what the correct format is, for that matter. We set ours up with 5 guys, bracket style. The cups were numbered on the bottom, and the girls in the house poured the beer while we were quarantined in a separate room. I thought I could tell what I was drinking, but I was fooled! Namely, I thought I had picked Alesmith to win, only to find out it was Two Hearted. Nice post.

Just did a blind BBA Coffee Stout tasting with the neighbors over the weekend. Results:

    1. Avery Tweak
    2. Lost Abbey Track #10
    3. Modern Times City of the Dead (Surprisingly awesome, though I love most MT beers)
    4. Founders KBS

    Cheers!
