I mountain bike, lift weights, and count food calories all the time. I never have to worry about counting beer calories ever. I've been losing weight with all the biking too. Peace of mind and self control with food. Food makes you gain weight not the beer. The alcohol stops food metabolism, the fat in the food gets stored. Alcohol can't be directly converted into fat by the body.

Yes, usually during football season at tailgates. Coors light, etc...

But not at home, or bars (if possible).

I love cheap light beer. If I could afford the good shit I'd be drinking it and not on BA reading about it.

Mich light, Coors light, and Keystone light. I use em as filler, like some folks do. I really do like Michelob though. I'm a real fan of them. I love Mich light, Regular michelob and amber bock on tap at some non beer centric bars. It all depends. some people can go from mild to wild, some can't. Everyone has a different taste for things.

If I don't want the calories of a full flavored beer, I drink water. Or Guinness.

living in california I go to vegas atleast 3 times a year. I always keep a 12 pack on ice in the room if I need to pre game before going to a show or hit the tables. Everything is so expensive that you have to measure to not spend in excess. I am thinking the next time I go to gather a 12 pack Pliny and walk around with them in the casino, that would be fun. But yes miller light or rolling rock or bud light is my go-to in vegas.

I honestly wish that I could sometimes. You go to a friends house or a party and thats still typically what they offer. So I'll drink one and thats about all I can do. Tastes like a watered down Oberon.
CRAFT BEER HAS RUINED MY LIFE!!!!!!
Im the guy that brings his own 6er to the party. Nothing tells your host that they are cheap and unrefined then when you bring your own 6 pack of real beer to their party. Who needs friends anyway?!

I'll drink a Coors/Bud/Miller light if that is all there is available. I made a thread long ago asking if craft breweries should brew and market a beer with light in the name and I got ripped a new asshole. To me, your average consumer likes seeing light if they want something to drink but don't want a mess of calories. Sure you or I may know that 4% Hefe is pretty low in calories but your average Joe won't. Some craft breweries put it on the can, like this.

Yes, and I happen to prefer Miller Lite, but I drink what I like and I prefer Miller Lite over mediocre IPA's or craft offerings that don't excite me in the least.

Occassionally after cutting the lawn or at family parties. I cannot remember the last time I bought a six pack or more though.

Had some coors light in Alaska last year because someone left it from the previous fishing trip on the boat.
Other than that nope, I dont see the point, living here in Portland OR makes drinking one of the big 3 a moot point.
Unless that is what you like, and I dont

When it's dollar beer night at Grand Rapids Griffins games, sure. Otherwise, not so much.

The best time and place can easily be diminished by consuming something I don't like the taste of.
Why is it so hard to understand that some of us just don't like the taste of AALs?

not had a miller lite in a long time, but it does not mean I never drink one. Now that there are so many hot weather beers to take on fishing boats, I have gotten away from that 1. of course I can drink a porter any day any where.:grinning:

If calories are what you're worried about, get a kolsch, berliner, or Irish stout. Those are generally very low alcohol, and thus low calorie, beers. I'll drink a light beer if it's all that's available, but I wouldn't buy a case to keep around or anything. If all I had in the house was Coors Light I'd just have a glass of water instead.
