I don't buy light beers (however I do buy & enjoy "full strength" macros without apology to anyone). I recently was given free Coors Light at a neighborhood picnic when it was 90 degrees outside. I must admit the Coors Light tasted darn good in that circumstance! I ended up downing 4 of them.

I did this weekend because I was at a party and they were free. Took a Coors Lite and a Mich Golden lite - figured I could finally rate them this way without going off memory. MGL really isn't that bad when it's ice cold. Coors lite sucks though, used to be my favorite for some reason.

ONLY if it's the only thing being served at a party or event. And it better not be Corona or Coors Light. I'd rather have water if that's the case.

To me light beer constitutes anything under 8.0% abv.

I do not any more. I typically will drink water or tea if I'm out and there are no good beer choices.

Pretty much drinking BMC (regular and light versions) the majority of the time right now during this So Cal heatwave (and for financial reasons too). I can get a 36 pack for about twenty bucks and be set for the weekend, or can drop $15-30 on one bottle and be good for just Friday night. There is just too much craft beer out there to keep up with its impossible financially so I'll drink "lighter" stuff more often these days and when some extra money is laying around it goes to the Reserve Society or Whiskey. I still manage to pick up a few new bombers a month of craft beer though.

If someone offers me one as a kind gesture I don't want to be a dick and I'll choke one down. On my own account, hell no I won't drink BMC.

    Edit: I do like Coors Batch 19 but I don't consider that a "light beer," it's a pre-prohibition lager

No trouble at all with light beer. Rarely buy it, but do sometimes. At Macky's bayside deckbar in OCMD a few weeks back. Had an Evo 3 IPA on tap to start then followed that up with a can of Natural Light. The Natty Light hit the spot much better for this occassion out in the hot sun at around 2pm than the Evolution IPA did.

I still do. Mainly when at other's cookouts or at the beach or game or something. I can still enjoy an ice-cold BMC every once and a while.

Nah. If I'm in a position where calories are a concern I'd just as soon not drink beer than have a BMC.

I will never, ever, ever, ever, EVER buy BMC light beer for myself personally.

But if someone hands me a Bud Light or Miller Lite and it's hot out? Sure, I'll drink it. Coors Light can go fuck itself though...I do have SOME standards :stuck_out_tongue:

A few weeks ago, I went to a festival. The alcoholic beverages available were Miller Lite, Leinie's Summer Shandy, and some frozen margarita flavored orange wine. I drank Miller Lite.

Other than that situation, I won't pay for it. I do accept light beers when they are offered or bought for me, but I'd rather have whisky, tequilla, rum, or a cocktail than a light beer when I'm out on the town.

    No.
Light BMC beer. Tastes bad, has 100 or so calories. Tends to dehydrate.
Water: Tastes good, has no calories. Hydrates.
Iced Tea: Tastes good, has no calories (or few). Hydrates.
