Light beers make for decent palate cleansers, especially if you've just had an IPA and want to wash away the lingering bitterness.

I don't always play beer pong or go to baseball games, but when I do, I have a few AALs.

Stay watery and refreshing, my friends.

Yeah, I'll have a Go To or All Day IPA every once in a while.

Not strictly light but last year when I went to visit Tokyo I had a couple of zero beer, I don't remember if it was Kirin or Sapporo, but it was really hot and it's still way better than soda so I tried these and it turned out pretty good.
Other than that I don't know... Light beer... maybe I'll try someday.

No, I'm not on a diet but I do drink light colored beers - summer ales, wheat beers, White beers, Belgian style ales, etc.

I generally drink 12ozs or more, but I have on occasion lifted a lighter flight glass.

No, I don't drink light beer.

If I do drink BMC it is always Miller High Life.

I like how the title of this thread is basically the opposite of what people say when they hear me order a beer they're not familiar with... 'oh, do you drink... dark... beer?'

Funny you say that, I was at a large outdoor party this weekend where tons of BMC was being drank. I had my own beer, which was Indeed Day Tripper and some Surly Furious, when I offered a beer to people throughout the night they all pretty much said "nah, I don't like dark beer" I just laughed and said ok more for me.

Nope. If light beer is the only choice, I'll opt for a Coke or good old H2O.

Totally agree here. If BMC and light beer was the only type of beer on the planet, I would quit drinking beer.

I also see quite a few people in here saying they drink lights to rehydrate... why not just drink water or Gatorade? Alcohol dehydrates you, there is no benefit to drinking a light beer just to rehydrate.

If the situation dictates it, a light beer, tall glass Packed with ice, silly straw.

    Refreshing.

I'll drink it if it's the only option, but if I can get the regular counterpart (Bud, High Life, Coors Banquet) I'll go for that instead. Assuming BMC is the only option here. Ice cold, they don't taste bad to me. Really just taste like nothing. Spritzy alcohol water with a touch of malt taste fills some occasions for me.

If I have to go with BMC (which is often the case when at a party/picnic/event hosted by the uninitiated), I actually prefer the light options over their regular counterparts. I find the lack of flavor to be a good thing, as I'd rather have something cold and wet that tastes vaguely like beer than have something that has a full-on bad beer taste.

Coors Light is the ultimate for this, as it has so little flavor that if you drink it ice cold (ya know, blue mountains cold ), you basically can't taste it at all.

Yeah I drink 'light' beer, the more I empty out of my glass the 'lighter' it gets.

If offered one at a function I'll drink a BMC light beer, but I've never paid for one in my life and I probably never will

Now that I've started lifting weights they all seem pretty light. Every time i lift my glass i douse my face in beer.
I guess I just don't know my own strength.
