I'd say the average beer I drink I rate at about 4.25-4.5, but that's only because 75% of the beer I buy at a liquor store is on the list of: Weihenstephaner Hefe/Dunkel/Vitus, Ayinger Celebrator, Clown Shoes Imperial Stouts, Victory At Sea, Sam Adams Boston Lager/Cream Stout, Left Hand Milk Stout, Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout, Framinghammer and variants, St Bernadus Abt 12, Founders Breakfast/Imperial Stout, Dragon's Milk.

On average I'd say yes... most of what I drink is outstanding. But I'm also cheap, so I'm not splurging on whales or super expensive cases. My daily go to beers include the standard Great Lakes mixed pack, SNPA, various Anderson Valley beers, some Mad River Steelhead Extra Stout, and Weihenstephaner. All are in the $45/case or less range and the only the one that doesn't rate outstanding is the GL burning river, but I don't care because I think it's outstanding.
