Nope. Cannot taste anything. If I'm sick during the weekend and want to catch a slight buzz, then I go for some cheap bourbon.

No cause I can't taste or smell anything, I really don't enjoy the experience.

It says alcohol intensifies the effect of drugs, so my philosophy is to drink and take the drugs to get over whatever I have in a quicker manner. So yes beer in sickness equals health.

I do and the following morning, I feel fantabulous. I think of it as a more delicious tasting NyQuil.

I don't really take any medications, but it can be lousy drinking good beer when you have no sense of smell or numbed tastes.
Those are some of those instances where you
    A: Don't bother
B: Go for something bland and mediocre like Bud or MGD
C: Go for the gusto and look for something so potent you can't miss it. Like a chili-pepper DIPA or BA quad.

Not usually, but perhaps something pedestrian or familiar at least. Won't pop anything fancy or rare for sure.

Same as most others it seems, I would never try something I have never had before. I'm not opposed to it, as it can certainly help you feel a little better, even if only temporarily. Bring on the Fat Tire or some equally mediocre beer.

Absolutely, there's worse things i could potentially put into my body than beer when I'm sick. Now if it's a stomach thing it all depends, but your standard cold, sore throat, etc I'll drink as i normally would.

Nope, can't taste it usually, I so the only point then is to catch a buzz. Being sick and having a buzz don't seem to go well together.

    It's tough not to.

But sleep, water and sleep seem to work best.

I would never drink beer with a sore throat. This can just exacerbate things but for headaches and colds you have to figure alcohol suppresses immunity so temporarily it does something for inflammation.

A rich strong barely wine or old ale is good for a cold and the soul. If you can't taste that then you are in trouble and need to sleep!

I rarely ever get sick and I attribute it in part to my consistent beer regimen. On the rare occasions (once or twice a year tops) that I get sick I will still keep enjoying beer. If I'm stuffed up and can't taste very well I drink AALs and/or hard liquor (screwdrivers are awesome for bad colds). If my taste buds are intact I will drink great beer. After all, I'm not going anywhere and it makes my stomach feel better. May as well take advantage of the situation and do some side by side comparisons of high ABV beers.

Why do you think Victory brews V-Twelve? On a serious note, whenever I feel like I'm getting sick I purchase two of those. Makes being sick suck less.

Yes, but generally whiskey and not beer. It depends on what "sick" means too, if my stomach is bothering me then no. If I'm stuffed up and my palates shot then I cure it with some cask strength bourbon
