No, I usually throw a few ice cubes in my glass then pour the room temperature beer in over them.

I leave my beer on the kitchen counter top. Room temperature ranges from low to high 80s. To me, most beers are more flavorful at room temperature.

Only if I am trying to turn a milk stout into a sour stout will I wait for it to warm up.

No, which sometimes requires me to drink faster if it's really hot out. But really, even if I get like a 750 of something that's supposed to be served on the warmer side, I'll still chill it and then leave the bottle out while I'm working on it, brewer's recommendations be damned.

Warm as in room temperature is no problem, if it's a good bier, even lagers. If it's hot? That's just ridiculous.

I thought you meant like glühbeers – tried some, Liefmans is pretty good at 150 Farenheit. Rest of that artificial glühkriek stuff is not that good. Tried a Belgian Strong Ale warmed to 150 Farenheit at a festival it was almost unimaginably horrible.

As for the actual question – yes I have done this. Usually with beers which fare better at room temp like RIS or crappy pale lager.

Drinking warm beer is for weirdos and sissies man! I only drink my beer when the mountains are solid blue because that's the manly way to drink manly beer. *please note the sarcasm and satire*

I grew up being raised by my Oma, fresh off the boat German kickass lady, and we always drank our beer and riesling at room temperature (starting at age 12...) BEST GRANDMA EVA

edit: although note that for some strange reason my Oma and all my German oncles thought that Miller High Life was the best beer in America

I love having conversations with zee germans about beer. They are always so pleased when I tell them that I think BMC products are an insult to beer.

I start most beers in the frig to cool them but some of my big stouts I will let warm up to room temp which is around the 70 degree mark. I feel I get more flavor coming through when the brews are warmer. Some brews not all of them. I have opened some brews from my crawl space/cellar which keeps the brews around the 60-65 degree mark and I felt they were perfect temp. But this is my own opinion of course!

    Cheers!

I just love being able to drink with my older German relatives, as they relive old stories about the war and immigrating to the US, how much they (still) hate G.W. Bush) and how drinking during lunch is the most normal thing in the world

I've drank GI BCS and KBS at room temp before, still absolutely delicious.

Never. I will let them warm up naturally from being in the fridge though.

Behind the bar I keep the bottles of Guinness Extra Stout both in the fridge and on the shelf at room temperature, some customers definitely prefer that way. I've tried room temp. stout myself and while it's quite drinkable I'd personally rather have it chilled.
