Do You Have A "Beer Guy"

Nope. I have a beer babe. Does that count?

 

The craft beer guy at one of the local distributors has given me heads up as to which stores they've given limited release items to. Also, just being friendly with the staff at some of the stores always helps.

 

Me too. I am the beer guy in Casper with a clerk at Liquor Shed running a not too close second.

I thought I'd pot up a pic of my cat Shecky. Been with me for 7 years now and is the friendliest and cleanest cat I've ever had. She don't like beer, though.

 

I was going to say yes, then I realized that I actually have several. The beerguy at the local Food Coop knows I want to try everything, and he lets me know what's coming and asks what he should look for in upcoming releases. I've got a couple breweries in town who will give "previews" of beers from the tanks. A couple of bar owners will share, or sometimes, give, the samples they get from distributors. One owner of a bar that I go to will bring back beer from his trips and share. When he found out that I was at review # 1999, he told to pick a bottle from his bottle list for #2000. I'm buddies with a rep from one of the local distros, and wil often give me a sample. Recently, he asked me if I wanted a couple beers, I said sure. He gave me a case each of Stone IPA and Ninkasi T-Dom, that had 1 broken bottle each that got returned from accounts. When I get extras in trades, or pick up other stuff they get hooked up in return. I have a good beer life.
