    I have one here in Glastonbury, CT that helps me get Enjoy By, Gandhi, KBS, 2011 Big Foot, BCBS Coffee etc... It took some schmoozing and $$ to build that relationship but it works. I have a herbal medicine guy also. Both are legit.

    I don't have a store guy, but I have a distributor driver who tells me exactly when they will be checked in. There is no "lists" at the large beer store here.. The employees can't even buy anything that is less than a case.

    I agree, it's good to have friends who you can not only enjoy a beer with, but also give you a heads up on new releases at their store.

    I'm friendly with a couple store owners and i'll always order kegs through them and things like that. When they have Beer and wine tasting events, I'll volunteer and help out whenever I can.

    Yup. Great guy that loves beer and loves to talk about it. He's gone out of his way for me a few times, so I try to return the favors. I gave him a Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Stout no too long ago as a thank you. I had gotten in a trade, I figure I owed him and it's good to have him on my side.

    At the a store, YES! (This is a MUST for a GREAT bottle shop).
    I bring him a few good or hard to get brews and he just gives me
    information and good advice about beer. Everyone wins.

    And have converted 2 friends/family into drinking buddies.
    Most family parties, I bring 2 bombers and 2 (6 packs of various sessional or great brews).

    I'm 21, so whenever I drink with my "drinking buddies" it usually consists of consuming adjuncts in excess until we vomit.

    Got a couple in a couple of local stores- makes all the difference when they put aside a brick of Westy 12 and five bottles of Parabola for you...
