Is there a market to trade off my empty rare bottles?? I ask this because I dont wanna throw them out but dont really have anywhere to put them at the moment and I could have sworn Ive seen a few threads of people offering to trade empties.

Best method ever is Hot water with a tiny bit of Oxiclean. labels fall off perfect usually takes the glue right off the bottle as well. I use the Oxiclean Versatile Free since i use the bottles for homebrew..

I just took off some founders and Firestone walker labels. They came off so easy:slight_smile:

Bottle caps only, I would need a second cellar to keep my empties....

Firestone Walker and Great Divide labels fall right off in a water/baking soda solution. Leave them covered for 15-20 minutes and you won't even have to peel them off. Avery come off, too, but they fall apart when they do.

I basically just have a dedicated shelf in my kitchen where there is basically no other use for it. I have about a dozen there. There is also a shelf in my room where I keep 10-20 bottles if I really like the artwork or the beer was just world-class. They do take up so much space and when they build up I usually just clear out 90% of them and keep the few I really like. I also re-use a ton of them for hombrewing.

I used to keep every bottle around when I started reviewing beers; after a year or two I ran out of room and took them back for a huge deposit.

I do for my friends that homebrew, other than that I recycle them... which makes for a whole lot of recycling!

I've only kept two empty bottles - Fou Foune because it is arguably my favorite beer and Isabelle Proximus because it was also world class and I'll most likely never drink another bottle.

Im going to have to start saving the labels. My basement is filling up after two tasting parties and one on the way!

Thanks for the tips about the oxiclean!

I also save all the caps. I feel like I will do something with them all eventually. For the time being im keeping them in a glass vase.

I save a few here and there if the bottle is painted. Nothing with paper labels these days. A photo is good enough in that case.

Save all my caps, in a jar with a candle. Labels saved, will frame some.

I just started keeping a single bottle of each different one I try. I started this about 4 months ago and I almost all the way around the shelves in the garage... So I might just do what some of you guys are saying and just keep the rares and really nifty art and recycle the rest.

I try to be more selective now, as shelf space in the garage is dwindling.

I keep some. Bruery release, mainly, but my Fiance loves New Belgium's Lips of Faith bottles, so they're one a shelf in the guest room

my buddy jules collects all the sweet craft bottles we drink so when I go over to his apartment I can check out all the really good beers I have had. It is like having a beer museum I can drink beer in.

I'd like to but I don't have the room. So the bottles unfortunately don't make it, to the recycling bin they go. I do have a few bottles on display though...CBS, BT, Dark Lord, DFH Bitches/Fort, and Alpine Expo.

I keep a few a few empty bottles on top of my fridge that have nice artwork. This morning as I was getting cream out of the fridge for my coffee a dogfish head portamarillo fell off. It bounced twice before smashing into a million little pieces. That added about 15 minutes of sweeping to my morning.

i lined the top of all my cabinets across my kitchen as sort of a decoration, and recently ran out of room so now im just replacing less impressive ones with rare ones. i like to look up at them now and then and try to remember the taste profile of each one. pliny makes two appearances!

As with many have been collecting on the kitchen cabinets lately but filled up quick. Will have to pick & choose soon.
