Do you have those anchored down somehow?

Nope, just sitting there. I do have to be pretty careful when adding new bottles though.

I mostly keep the non-paper label bottles in order to make candles...

That's pretty cool. In Hawaii, they were selling tropical scented candles inside of Maui Brewing Company cans.

I'm only a few years in to the beer thing, but I do keep a bottle of each new beer I try. Wife gets a little annoyed..

Do you happen to have a picture of this? I was thinking to do something similar but don't quite know where to begin.

Me and my roommate keep one from every new beer we try. whether it be a bmc or craft. We currently over 200 bottles. We finally put up shelves in our living room and have arranged them by company. It looks really nice.

I only keep them for homebrewing.

If I started collecting empty beer bottles, I'm fairly sure my wife would kill me.

LOL me too. My wife barely tolerates my beer glass collection and at least that is functional. Occasionally I keep bottles and stack them on my fridge in the garage. I have 6-7 on there now. It would be awesome to keep a bottle of everything I drink, but I have a spreadsheet for that and I take lots of pictures so that is close enough.

How many are in your collection? I have 1,650 in my basement, but only around 1,300 on display around maybe 50 feet of my basement walls. The rest are boxed up.

    I hate you.

And by that, I mean I'm totally jealous of you and wish I could aspire to keep that kind of bottle collection. <3

12 ounce bottles for homebrews. For the rest I go to Meijer and get dimes

I saved all the cantillons and a few other rare ones. I definitely have less than 20

Haven't had really rare beers, but i've kept two Lagunitas Sucks (which is top priority to keep) and JP Noel De Calabaza cuz the art is half the reason i bought it

I've reached critical mass with my bottle collection, so I am purging them. The only ones I am keeping are rare/out of state ones everything else is gone.

Ha I used to save bottles, then I realized I had several duffel bags full of bottles just sitting in my room taking up space, a lot of space, so I took some pictures and trashed them all. I saved a couple rare ones. I do love my collection of cardboard 4 and 6 packs. They store nicely in 12pack cases. It's great to look back on the brews I have bought, especially labels that have changed or are no longer produced.
