I like it. The joys of tap combined with the comfort of your own living room.

Lol,off course it depends on the style.Different types of beer have different optimal serving styles.
Bottled for Hefeweizens, cask conditioned for english style ales, bayerischer Anstich for most german styles.......
KEG for me is almost never the optimal way of serving beer- too fizzy for my liking.
It works kind of for modern hop-forward IPAs, but even with them I prefer cask.

I have this issue as well, but I believe it might be the sanitizer that most tap houses use to clean their glassware. I don't know for a fact but I've noticed it more when there's a more pronounced "detergent" aroma from my glass of beer.

Cans, bottles, kegs , you take your choice as they are all pretty much the same thing; the brewer puts them in the container and that's as good as they will ever be.There will be minor differences through freshness issues, carbonation, temperature and the environment (beer always tastes better in a pub with friends)
The only dispense methods which offer an improvement over the brewer's efforts are bottle conditioned beers (done properly without filtration) and above all cask conditioning. But the improvement , though very substantial, is unfortunately only temporary.
Bringing up the rear (so far back it's almost out of sight) is nitro.Sorry to spoil your day by mentioning it.

Depends. If a beer is on tap on nitro I almost always prefer it in the bottle without nitro. it really depends thoigh

X2. Though a keg is sort of like a giant can, so.

I think in general I'd say can, because there's a lot of factors in play with proper pressurization and cleanliness etc with tapping. That said though if the lines are clean and the bar knows what they're doing a fresh tap is hard to beat.

Bottles for general convenience. I can have 10-15 different beers in the fridge. I can't very easily do that with draft beer.

I think consistency is better too. There are less variables to account for when it comes to quality control.

Granted I'd say a perfect tap beer is better than a perfect bottled beer.

Talk about the sublime to the ridiculous (or the other way round in this case) These two should never be mantioned in the same sentence.

Dated bottles. I have noticed lately that many places serving quality craft and imports on tap do not get the carbonation right. The aromas of a beer can go from great on the day the keg is tapped to virtually nil after a week or so. And some places are not rigorous enough on how often they clean their tap lines.

Why's that exactly ? I've enjoyed some versions of beer on cask that I liked better than the regular tap or bottled version. Also have enjoyed nitro versions better than regular tap and or bottle. So that is why I said this.

Nitro is the devil's work. You'll find no nitro lovers on this side of the pond, perhaps because we are used to cask.It dumbs beer dowm whereas cask enhances it.

    Bottles, generally.

This should be a poll, btw.

Pssst , I'm on this side of the pond. I could see your point though. One example : I had a local chocolate cherry bomb that's a little sweet in bottle but " you're right " it was mellower and more enjoyable on nitro. So in this case it worked to my advantage.

Bottled because on tap at some places the people really don't know what they are doing. At a brewery then on tap
