    Do you name/label your homebrews?

If so how do you come up with the names.

I know labeling and naming all homebrews becomes tiring. Hence I don't name them all. I have my girlfriend do all the artwork. Below is an ipa I named dragon spit, which is what my girlfriend thought was the name for zombie dust.. I liked it.

I do label my beer (in my brewing logs) but I am too lazy to create a label.

In my fermenter right now is Peter's IPA (@pweis909 ).

    Cheers!

I keg everything, so no labels. Generally, no names - I simply note note style on the tap handle. The only ones that get named are those that accompany a mishap during the brewing process or those that were brewed to commemorate an event, good or bad. "Split Finger Gumball" was a Gumball Head clone I brewed a few years ago to help my son through the trauma of a miter saw incident (a minor injury, but a good excuse to brew )

I name every single beer, and sometimes I label depending on who will drink it. If I'm taking my brews to a part or gathering, or giving them as a gift I will label them, it adds to the experience. My background is marketing and graphic design, so it's not real hard. I dig your GF's artwork. I might need her to draw me up a badass looking bear standing up on its hind legs.

Put me in the "too lazy" camp. I typically mark the caps w/ a number or letter and that's that. My kegging gear is on its way, so I may start naming my beers since I'll just have to update a white board instead of 48+ bottles.

I name some. But I don't give the names a lot of thought. Here's my labelling system...

I'm a dreamer. So I have names and a brewery logo too. Maybe someday... I name all my beers after characters or places from legends and folklore of either the beer styles home country or something with the ingredients. My daughter actually made me a hoodie with the brewery logo my buddy made screened on it. It's my favorite hoodie! I wear it damn near every brewday

I name all of mine, label some. I also have a digital tap list like VikeMan, just on Excel instead of RazPi. As the brewery kicks off I am following much more purposeful naming, following a scheme to create a cohesiveness across the entire brand. You can see some of my previous as well as brewery stuff here.

I name them. Sometimes the names signify certain milestones. Herr Professor Octoberfest was my first lager and coincided with my academic appointment. Saison Du Lac similarly represents an occupational milestone (new job, with office and lab facility located on a beautiful lake), and of course, it was an attempt to make something along the lines of Saison Du Pont. Sometimes my creativity is lacking, so I might call something Mosaic IPA because, you guessed it, the dominant hop is Saaz.

Peter, you various posts about combining Centennial, Mosaic and Simcoe inspired me to brew this latest batch of IPA. I decided to utilize equal proportions of these three hop varieties for three additions: flavor, end of boil (hopstand) and dry hopping.

I decided the name this batch after you: Peter’s IPA.

    Cheers!

I name mine and will create labels for bottles that I'm giving away. My method of naming has no rhyme or reason, although rhyme (alliteration) or reason are sometimes the logic used, e.g. Papa's Porter or Junkyard Ale (beer from leftover ingredients).

Raspberry wheat with Haulertau hop: Herb's 'Early Tap Rural' wheat

I name many of my brews and make a simple full page label that I magnet to the keg fridge. I usually steal a good image off of the net and write the name and stats (OG, FG, ABV, IBU & SRM) on it with a simple paint program or Picasso. I just tend to go with the first idea or inspiration that pops in my head.
