Do You Set A Limit on How Much You Drink During A Setting?

I usually drink 2-3 beers after work but almost never drink on days off. Once every couple months we go out after work on a "friday" and I drink far more of far worse beer.

Usually 1 bomber a night. Sometimes 2 if we have a gathering or a BBQ

 

4 12 oz. beers of 5% ABV (or the equivalent of) over 3-4 hours ... try to stick to that as much as possible because hangovers/beer headaches suck

1-2 Bombers thought the work week. Always at night and say during a Sabres game or some form entertainment.

Sunday I will have a little more, but it's spread over a 9-10 hr session of slow sipping.

I like a buzz, but not much more than that. I'm 150 lbs and 5'10' ethyl alcohol whoops my ar$e! I respect it

 

I'm generally a one beer a day guy during the week. That could be a bomber though if I found something interesting that week and I'm dying to try it. Weekends really depend on what I'm doing. If I'm out with friends or having people over, that goes up to whatever it goes up to.

 

I do vicariously through my wife...

I get the look when I'm not nearly as funny as I think I am.

 

No because, for me, it simply takes the enjoyment out of it. I am a pretty big boy with a pretty big tolerance, so let's just say that I can do quite a bit of tasting before I get really hammered, which I don't like doing except on social occasions with friends and family. I never set a quantitative limit, and day by day it varies somewhat. I get to drink a good amount, can still function, I sleep well with no hangover and so life's pretty good...

 

My limit is based on health. Too many, my physical health is negatively affected. Too few, my mental health is negatively affected. So it's a balancing act regardless of the day of the week. As far as numbers go, one or two on average. Rarely have more and sometimes have nothing. College football Saturdays all bets are off.
