This is random yet slightly on topic. What do you think of RAN guitars, that you can pretty much assemble on their site for a quote? Know much about them?

With all due respect, this is not a hobby. It's an addiction.

Don't know much if anything about them. My guess is if you spend $2000 on one, that someone would be happy to give you $150-300 on the second hand market. Only buy it if you've played it and plan on keeping it!!! That's the best advice I can give you.

It's at least 250 a month I also Homebrew which is not included in those cost, I do a haul pretty much every weekend. My gf and I drink fairly pricey whisky as well so that's not included either, so it's basically around $500 a month. If she ask I tell her and then she will ask me so you did get some Wisconsin Belgian red Right, and it's always yes.

No I don't spend too much. If I did I would spend less or make more money. I won't allow hobbies or indulgences to impact my life in any way that skews towards the negative.

I guess the question is too much in relation to what?

I'm sure on average, people on here are spending more on beer than people for whom beer is purely a social thing - but that's fine, it's a hobby for us.

In relation to personal income - I'd say some months I may spend a little more than I should, and some a little less than I could have. But I budget everything and it all tends to balance out - so I don't think I spend too much.

If you're making 20k a year and spending $100 a week on beer, then assuming you have other responsibilities, I'd say you're overdoing it. If you're making 110k + OT, then that's a different story.

I'd say around 100, but visiting VA Beach this week probably tripled that amount. Lucky to score a 4 pack of KBS at Total Wine and a bunch of other stuff along w/ hitting the local breweries. Good times...

On average I'll drop $50ish a week. limited releases are killing me though. I've actually been drinking down my stash saving up for this time of year but even then...

Let's see, with KBS, Black Note, and Dark Lord this month I've accepted that my beer spending for the month is way over inflated. But on a regualr monthly basis, I'm in the $100-200 range. Girlfriend asks the same kinds of questions about spending, yet makes sure we bring along the growler whenever we visit a brewery (bi-weekly at least), randomly surprises me with new releases I haven't gotten my hands on yet, and likes brewing beer. Go figure.

Some months yes, some months no. I'll be cutting back a bit since I bought a car earlier this week, and now I have to make payments on that.

This thread makes me depressed. I don't even want to crunch them numbers.. too scared. But I don't think as close to 200-300 like some of you, thankfully.

I spend more than I would like, but I don't know if it would cross the threshold of 'too much.' There are certain times of the year that can be a little rough on the plastic though...
