Stone Enjoy By 1/1/18. Smells like an APA. Looks like a hazy AIPA at first, then the chill haze fades and then it looks like a West Coast AIPA.
Uniformly dry except for the almost semi-sweet middle of the taste profile, which is fruity like an NEIPA. As it warms there's a faint silage funk.
If this beer represents the style well, its a style worth exploring.
1st one of this new style for me, this is my 3rd Enjoy By.

I'm having a pretty tasty one right now, Boulevard's Tasting Room series 001; Brut IPA. A slight bit of funk, a light crisp body, dry finish, and floral hops. Nice brew.

I'm late to the thread, but I think Brut IPA is the most delicious thing to happen to beer in some time. The handful I've been able to try have been refreshing, crisp, and delicious.

No. Wont miss them when they're gone in a few months.

I said the same thing about NEIPAs.

Just tried my first, Oddside Ales "Caged Wisdom"
I didn't know about brut IPAs until I became active on BA again a couple weeks ago.
If most beers in this "style" are like the one from Oddside, then I can definitely see myself picking a six pack up here and there. Nothing amazing, but a solid change of pace beer.

I've had one, although I didn't realize it was a Brut IPA until after I drank it: Country Boy Brewing - Sam Pain on tap at Mellow Mushroom in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It wasn't listed as a Brut IPA on the menu, but I probably would've ordered it anyway just to try it. Wasn't bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way to seek out any more of the style.

A Brut IPA needs to be brewed more precise than a traditional IPA, in my opinion. There is not much to hide a brewing imperfection behind, with the center part moderately flavorful and then a dry finish. That finish can reveal some bad imperfections in the recipe build and/or brewing.

I grabbed a 6-pack of Surly DAF Brut IPA last night. I had one, but it wasn't 100% cold yet.

It was okay, but nothing great or terrible. I'm excited to see how the next one tastes.

I really liked the one I had from Boulevard. I suspect that folks who get Boulevard distro should be able to find it.

I've had two that I really liked. The others weren't so memorable.

Chiming back in, but I really enjoyed Sierra Nevada's go at the style. Definitely one of the better ones I've had with an interesting choice in hops. I plan to formally review it when I return from work today, and will be picking up another pack by this weekend.

    Cheers.
