Does anyone actually like growlers?

Growlers fills are all about the value. I NEVER get a growler fill of something I can buy by the 6 pack, I haven't really seen where it is a deal. I get growlers of beer that is usually available in the bomber format. Last week I was in Shreveport and hit up Great Raft brewing and got a growler fill of one of their Hoppy Saisons in my stainless growler that has a schrader valve on the cap where I can pressurize it with CO2. I got the growler fill on Thursday and proceeded to drink it up until Saturday nite. Bombers of this beer are in the $7 range and the growler fill was $12 or $13. That is a deal, 3 bombers would have cost me $21 and a growler fill was approx $13. So they have a time and a place, but it has to be cost effective.
