Serve me some of their IPA, or Ten Fidy and I am a happy man.

I even bought having some prejudices ''Death by coconut'' and it was pretty tasty. Long life Oskar Blues.

So rarely I can't remember the last time I bought anything. They're all good, GKnight used to be a pool favorite many years ago. Dales I can find fresh, the G Knight not so much for whatever reason.

I drank a Dale's Pale last week. Always good. I like Ten Fidy, wish it were cheaper.

Still drink them every so often, they still make some pretty tasty brews.

    Cheers!

Most craft beer obsessed seem to be into trying as much new as possible, but I am glad to see some support on the forums for the old "standbys." I've noticed where I live how it's very exciting when we get a brewery we couldn't previously (Revolution, Surly, Toppling Goliath), but then how quickly stuff sits. I do see less Oskar Blues than I used to here, but I can say that of every brewery that's not conglomerate owned (almost no Dogfish, Victory, Smutty anymore, but plenty of BP, Lagunitas, and GI variety!). In my local stores it's fewer beers from more breweries.

I do, but now that I think of it. I don't drink their beers often enough.

Ten Fidy is a bargain. I challenge you to name three +10% ABV imperial stouts that are cheaper ($4 here) and as highly rated.

I would argue that you are doing yourself a disservice. Ten Fidy is in my opinion one of the best, most complex imperial stouts out there. And the fact that it's dusty doesn't hurt this beer style.

Only managed a stray can of the BA Ten Fidy , that one I'm saving till winter. I had some BA Old Chub on tap at Mellow Mushroom a few years ago, it is worth a trip if it's around.

I had it fresh, at 6 months, and at 8 months. It was best fresh - seems that the aging attenuated the base beer - though the bourbon was still strong.

Thanks for the heads up, but it's not going to survive Oct or Nov. I'm in on strong the bourbon though.

I still think they're a solid brewery, but I wonder if they're missing Garin Frost.

Vermonters are enjoying Garin's brainchild brewery, Frost Beer Works. And people through Tavour too.

Breweries definitely track this information, but I have never seen it published. It is very rare for a brewery to produce more draught than package. In my experience, I have only worked with one such example. I would imagine Oskar Blues is not an exception, and they are probably 35-40% draught.

2 that are as-good, going by aggregate and not the bros score... I can get these in 4$ 16oz cans
Evil Twin Even More Jesus (can)
Evil Twin Imperial Biscotti Break (can)

Didn't come up with a third immediately, so I guess you win :stuck_out_tongue:

I get Ten Fidy, BA Ten Fidy, Death by Coconut, and occasionally get Dale's Pale Ale at a bar. There's just a lot of other choices these days.

Reminds me of the Yogi Berra quote about a restaurant. "Nobody goes there any more, it's too busy"

I love Deviant Dale's when I can get it (limited release).

Reminded me that I just bought a 6er of Jai Alai in my local Walmart in SC. First time I have seen it outside Florida. Does this mean their association with Oskar Blues will increase the distribution area?

I don't drink it as often as I used to, and as many mention above it is mostly because almost every reasonable sized city in the US now has at least one above average or better brewery. Seeing as local breweries will always give you the freshest beer (because its not being shipped cross country) it is typically the better option. For example, I now live in Oregon, so I have block 15, De Garde, Great Notion (if I go to Portland or someone brings me something down) and many others that are always available and always fresh. For this reason, I almost never buy OB IPAs (they are usually more than a month old when they get to me).

I do, however, still buy Ten Fidy and BA Ten Fidy (especially the latter...at 10 bucks per smokestack can its probably the most affordable high quality BA stout out there) regularly.

Not to take this off topic but we had Aslan for a while this spring in Maine, haven't seen it since. I was a big fan especially at the price for the quality.
