For Valentine's Day, my girlfriend and I went half-sies on the setup. It's being shipped now and I couldn't be more excited to get it assembled and give it a whirl.

    Thanks for the help everyone!

My only issue with these, as nice as they are is putting that much money into one batch a time. I used to have 1-2 beers in primary, 1-2 in secondary at any given time. I brewed 20 gallons a month at least. I don't think I could justify an outlay on such nice a equipment that would let me keep brewing that much. I guess I could buy one nice system and do my other batches on my buckets still.... Hmmm

Gonna still keep my carboys for buggy fermentation. That way I can have multiple going at once.

I finally used my new setup, brew bucket instead of conical though. Some feedback below.

Kettle - The markings were off by almost a half gallon at 60 degrees and the thermometer was off by a couple degrees (based on two other calibrated thermometers). Going to email about the markings just to see what they say. Other than that it worked as a kettle should and I didn't get any scorch marks.

Mash tun - worked great, only lost 2-3 degrees over 60 min with stirring every 15 min. The zero loss bottom worked great and got every last drop out. Thing is heavy-ish without any load, so plan ahead if you use gravity to drain. Any large grain bill would make lifting a pita.

Brew bucket - Still fermenting but so far so good. The seal around the top works great and I love the port at the bottom for taking samples without opening the whole thing. Plan to do a closed transfer which I'm excited for since I do mainly hoppy beers.

    Cheers!

I will check back with more once I brew on it. Currently devising a gravity setup. Does anyone have experience with a pump system? Is it cost effective?
