I prefer bombers and 750ml bottles.

    Why?

Because when I sit down to drink a beer, I generally drink two, then I'm done.

It allows me to commit to two beers, rather than 4, 6, 12 or 24, if I buy 12oz.

After two beers, I'm ready to move on to something else. While I revisit beers I like often, the number of beers I like is a long list, so I like to have 1 or 2 and move on.

I love bombers too. Perfect if you just want one beer.

Honestly I do not like the large bottles, I would prefer 12oz or 7 oz. I rememer when I was younger I thought it was stupid of Anchor Steam to put Old Foghorn in the 7oz bottles, now I think they're geniuses.

I don't buy them regularly, probably go through a handful a year.

Whenever I go to the Southern Tier brewery I usually get a few, that's about once or twice per year. Otherwise, I'll get Pumking at my favorite bottle store (never got it at the brewery for some reason) or sometimes he has good stuff on sale for around $5. Ommegang Three Philosophers is my "treat", I'll get that every once in a while for about $10. $10 is about my limit for bombers, I can't see paying any more than that.

IMO a growler is perfect size if only having one

My personal opinion(And I think a lot of other people's also) is that they are 1) much more(or too) expensive per ounce usually, 2) We buy them because it is usually a beer that we cannot get in another format and 3)To me, they are a perfect size to enjoy by yourself after a hard day at work. Good buzz, enjoyed the beer and was just enough to relax you after that hard day at work..

I agree with the limit on bomber prices. I realize it may be something that is not available in other formats, but geeez, some times these bombers equate to buying a 7-8 dollar 12 ouncer. Too much usually, unless it is extra extra special

I like the four pack\12 oz can or bottles of less common beers. Having one might be all i need and I have another chance to sample on my couch.

At times I wish everything came in a 12 oz bottle but then I would be buying dozers or marked up singles. Sometimes I wont open a bomber during the week because I can't commit to the much beer and often a high ABV. But when I do, a bomber is a great volume - more than one 12oz but typically not two.

I really like bombers since it allows me to crack open one bottle and focus on it for an extended period of time. Mostly I get stouts, imperial stouts and IPA's in the bomber format, and generally like to keep the purchase in the $10-12 range. I think it's a better option then a 6 pack if you've never tried that beer or if bomber is the only availability of that particular brew. An added bonus is that a guest who is not a BA type will never go into my beer fridge and grab a bomber since they know those are not "normal" beers, so there is a level of protection against some of my better beer collection.

I have no problem with them, but when it comes down to a $20 6pack or a $20 bomber I will typically get the 6er

Well, let's use the latest Enjoy By release from Stone.

    $15.99/6-pack OR $8.99/bomber. Hmmmm I think I know which I would choose.

I've got no problem with them. They actually make for a perfect not going to drink tonight evening.

We have a bomber beer tasting party every Labor Day weekend that really is great and bombers are the perfect size for the tasting pours for everyone.
