No cherry stout was made last year due to a failure in the MI cherry crop. There is a bumper crop this year, so the base beer will be made again. Don't know any timing.

Don't know. They do have to make the Cherry Stout first to then age in the barrels.

    You can e-mail the brewery.

Since the most recent review says it was on-tap in August of this year, probably yes.

The last time I bought bottles of the BBA Cherry Stout was at the brewery, and I think it had brewery-only availability. That was in 2007, but I don't think the BBA version has been in bottles since then, although the non-BBA has been a regular release, except for last year due to the cherry crop failure.

Ok i thought it would be a brewery only beer and they hadn't bottle it in a while.

They are bottling the base Cherry Stout a little later this year, so I wouldn't be surprised to see, at least, brewery-only access to the barrel-aged version of it cropping up perhaps sometime next year.

From what I've been reading, Bell's has been throwing everything they brew into bourbon barrels...so I would say, yes, we will see more of this sometime in the future.

Future batches may make appearances in bottles but from what I hear do not expect anything in the near future. There should be more kegs floating around, keep an eye on the draft board and be ready to jump the next flight.

I really hope they make it again. I emailed bells so we will see what they have to say.

I actually just got a response. No BA this year they didn't think any went in barrels for next year either.

I had the BBL version a couple times last year at special events so they do still make it just haven't bottled it in awhile.

I had this beer on tap in Chicago last year and was very underwhelmed. People seem to rave about it and I just didn't get it. Maybe an off barrel? It was very thin, zero barrel, and somewhat medicinal cherry. I remember being very disappointed after hearing so many good things.
