Does anyone know definitively if Funky Buddha actually uses actual pig in the brewing process? Could it be smoked malts that give it the smokey quality? It doesn't specifically say "bacon" in the description. "maple syrup, coffee and natural flavors" I supposed pig could be considered "natural flavors". It does say they don't filter or pasteurize any beer and I can't imagine you could use bacon in the brewing process and not need to filter it in some way. Of course I could be wrong. I emailed the brewery to ask but did not receive an answer. Anyone know for sure?

No actual swine in the beer, no. Smoked malts and salt, if I remember correctly. I'm no employee, but I believe that is the case.

I appreciate the info but I am actually hoping to avoid meat in my beer, and most curious if I can drink MBCP in good conscience.

When in doubt, contact the brewery.
