I found a bottle hiding waaaaay in the back of my bar - just curious how well this one ages. Anyone have any experience with it?

I've done a year on one and enjoyed it. Nothing super impressive but still very good. I'm all for trying at least a little age on anything.

What kind of batch number do you have J?

Either way, I'd guess you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I had a 2 year old bottle recently, it had lost some of its character but it was still good, just seemed to have less complexity than it does fresh.

I had one that was a year old and it held up fairly well , It had some mineral /penny/copper taste that I didn't remember before, but was still drinkable ...I won't be aging anymore personally.

This thread inspired me to open one from the cellar: batch 9999 (Sept 21, 2010), almost 2 years old. It's decent. I have to confess, I don't love the base beer which is what prompted me to toss the rest from my 6pk into the cellar. This is better than I remember it fresh. SO, for what any of that is worth -- it's held up well, flavors have meshed and it tastes more balanced... Although, I could be completely off as I'm clearing through "shitty beers I for some reason cellared" and just drank a 4 Calling Birds, which at 11% ABV probably has my judgment slightly skewed! Enjoy.
