100%, if im shelling out more money, it should be a better beer, and therefore has higher standards to uphold.

When i buy something that is 20$ for 375ml bottle, and its not the best beer ive had that week, it deserves a lower score

Money counts if someone at the brewery stuffed it in the bottle then filled. It would probably taste bad. Dang it, I'm still going by taste. But I would have the money.

They should add a 'Value' rating category, which would not contribute to overall score, but could be used for a separate query to view the best beer bargains.

I have not been rating long, and to date, I do not think price has been a factor in any of my ratings. My intention is to be as objective as possible, but I can see where one might expect more from exceptionally expensive beers.

Sometimes, like when the beer was really expensive and not that impressive. If this is the case, I say so in the review.

Yes , yes ,and yes! If your going to enter high brow and high end market pricing it better be world class! Plenty of beers out there I have tried which did not live up to the price point. I know distribution controls most
of the pricing but that's beyond my control.

I sure hope not. Still, I would guess that some raters feel compelled to give higher rating to pricey beers to avoid cognitive dissonance. But this could go in the opposite direction too, due to being more annoyed or disappointed with a poor but costly beer.

Price is not a factor in my ratings. However if the brew is higher priced and I don't like ,no I will not buy it again. But if it taste good and a has nice rich flavors. I have no problem shelling out the cash for the brew.
Money is only a factor if I can afford to buy it. No affect on the ratings.

price does sometimes impact my rating, usually in the overall score. ovarall i consider price, availability, and packaging.

not substantially but it can motivate a drop or increase .25

if people say price doesnt effect score than check here

part of the high score i feel is the price of that beer

I will mention price in a review only if I feel that the beer is overpriced. But it won't affect my rating, if the beer sucks it sucks regardless of the price, if the beer is world class price will be of no concern.

I try to be completely objective, but if I'm honest I do think that it can be easy to be swayed a bit based on price.."I paid $25 for this bomber, so it has to be good.." and I could convince myself that's they case. I don't feel it happens often, but it can.

I don“t consider price in my reviews or ratings, but when the price is great for the beer I say it as a footnote.

I don't even think about price while rating. Taste is all that matters. Is a $6 pour at a bar any better or worse of a beer than that same beer bottled for $2 from your store? Nope. The best tasting beer I've ever had gets a 5, the worst gets a 1. Most are compared between the two somewhere in the middle. Now if BA added a price sub category into the rating, THAT would be interesting to see if the beers are worth the price.
