I didn't know that ten fidy was a seasonal release till recently. I can get it all year because It just sits around here. I had it once and it was good but not $16 a 4pack good

Price certainly matters. To me, the price difference between a standard sessionable craft beer and a BMC is worth it.

Of course, prices vary widely among "craft beers." Each us have our own price standards that conform to our incomes and available spending money. Personally, I start really getting super picky about a purchase when the price rises above $1 per ounce for a single bottle or a draft. When it comes to purchasing a case, I only go above $60 for a special occasion (Note: FBS is always a special occasion).

Within reason is right I won't spend $13 on a four pack I'll just look for singles of it and go to another in a sixer. And same with bombers. I'll buy them. But $20 for big luscious is not happening as much as I'd like to try it

Price takes a back seat in two situations
    1. if it's worth it
    2. if it's rare and worth it

I would so love to just be able to buy nothing but Rochefort 10, 120 Minute IPA, and the latest greatest whalez possible, but at a dollar or more a sip I just can't do it all the time.

The wonderful thing about being a beer buff today is the fact you don't need to spend all that to get some really great beers. The latest one I found was Neshaminy Creek Tribute Tripel... at $3.00 for a 12oz can it easily rivals some Trappist tripels I have had at a third the price.

I buy what I want. Price is rarely a factor for me.

Within reason for me... For example, a bottle of Jackie-O's rum barrel aged oil of Aphrodite was something like $12.99 for a 12oz sized bottle. No thanks! Even half the price would have been tough for me for what it was.

But paying $12.99 for a 4-pack and such isn't a problem for me... Or buying certain bombers for $8-12 depending on what it is. All depends on who made it, what it is, how rare it might be and how good it is supposed to be!

In the last month or so I've bought beer three times. These included three 12-packs from SN, one 12-pack from Jack's Abby, a mix-six, and a bottle of Sucaba. I didn't care about the price on one of these items because I had been careful with the others. I'll let you guess which one.

Price isn't such a big factor for me only because of these two other factors:
    1. Although I love beer and would like to drink more of it, I only buy 1-2 packs every month or so and I budget for it
    2. I go to Trader Joes for most of my alcoholic needs as they have the lowest prices in town for such items (and the freshest since they sell so much of it), so even though I'm spending $12 for a 4 pack I can alleviate some of that shock to my wife by saying it usually costs $15 anywhere else.
So I may not spend $13 on that special release bomber, but I'm content with my Green Flash being $8/4pk.
